Learning Cloud Australia Partners with the ORANGUTAN project.

Australia’s own Learning Cloud is pleased to announce that it has partnered with an animal preservation venture called The Orangutan Project, in following with its policy for the protection and preservation of animal species which are considered to be at risk.

Learning Cloud fully expects this partnership to help create an increased awareness of the need to protect and preserve the majestic orangutan, who is not only a beautiful part of our environment but also fulfills an essential role in maintaining a well-balanced ecosystem.

To this effect, Learning Cloud Australia has become a Green Partner with The Orangutan Project with the end goal of supporting a variety of Wildlife Protection Units in Sumatra, as well as carry out a wide range of activities to create an increased public awareness. The agenda of said activities will be announced as they are defined, yet will include promotional actions of a diverse nature while allowing students to participate in the programs.

As a true Australian enterprise, at Learning Cloud we believe our world should be populated by the most diverse animal species, and we have a deep personal understanding of the damage that can be caused to these same species by poaching and human intervention. It is because of this, that we have chosen a cause we deeply believe in to give us an opportunity to do more for the world that surrounds us. To continue in this line, we will release more information as it becomes available and throughout the duration of the partnership. Students studying any Environment & Wildlife Courses or completing the Certificate In Wildlife Conservation will have the opportunity to volunteer throughout these centres.

About The Orangutan Project

The Orangutan Project (TOP) is one of the world’s most important non-profit organizations dedicated to the preservation, rehabilitation and reintroduction of orangutans into their natural habitat, with the goal of saving both species of orangutan from endangerment and extinction. At the same time, TOP promotes the protection of the rainforest, together with the creation of local partnerships for the conservation of displaced orangutans.

Through all this, TOP closely collaborates with several conservation projects and has become a dedicated protector of the orangutan habitat, with proprietary programs focused on stopping poaching, logging and other illegal human activities which damage the orangutan’s habitat throughout Indonesia.
At this time there are over 2,000 orangutans living in special facilities in Borneo and Sumatra. For more information, please visit http://www. orangutan.org.au//.
